05/04/2007 - Richmond, VA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Virginia native Denny Hamlin captured the pole for tonight's Circuit City 250 at the Richmond International Raceway. The No.20 Joe Gibbs Racing Chevrolet driver circled the 0.750-mile short track in 21.313 seconds (126.683 m.p.h.).
The pole victory was Hamlin's first of the season and seventh of his Busch career.
"It's a testament to how great this team is," said Hamlin. "I look forward to Saturdays now, every time I get into this car...Hopefully we can bring home a win for Virginia Tech this weekend."
Starting alongside Hamlin will be Nextel Cup veteran Matt Kenseth who posted a second-best time of 21.375 seconds.
Shane Huffman (21.393) and another Virginia native Jeff Burton (21.394) will make up row two.
It's been more than two years since anyone other than Kevin Harvick has won a Busch event at Richmond. The 2006 Busch Series champion and current Daytona 500 champion could make track history with another Busch win at Richmond this weekend.
If Harvick wins in Friday night's Circuit City 250, he will become the first driver to win four consecutive Busch Series events at Richmond in the series 26-year history. He also won three of Richmond's four NASCAR events last season - both Busch Series events and the fall Nextel Cup event.
Harvick will start 13th in the 43-car field.
The race is scheduled to drop the green flag at 8 p.m. (et).

MySportsbook.com Posts Heisman Trophy Odds
With 3,919 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and a mere seven interceptions last season, combined with a powerful South Bend Heisman legacy, odds makers at MySportsbook.com have given Notre Dame senior quarterback Brady Quinn the best Heisman Trophy odds at 5-2.
Quinn isn’t the only big man on campus this season. Oklahoma junior running back and 2004 Heisman runner-up Adrian Peterson, listed at 7-2, rushed for a combined 3,033 yards in his first two years as a college player and will give Quinn a run for his money.
This online sportsbook has also listed Troy Smith, Ohio State senior quarterback, as another strong favorite to win the 72nd Heisman Trophy. A 7-1 bet, Smith threw for 2,282 yards last season and also led the Buckeyes to a convincing 34-20 victory over Quinn and the Fighting Irish in last season’s Fiesta Bowl.
Current betting odds Heisman trophy are:
