No. 7 Italian Flavia Pennetta was no match for the top-seeded Ivanovic, falling 6-4, 6-4.

The Serb is the reigning French Open champion and Australian Open runner-up and will look to advance to the finals against third-seeded Pole Agnieszka Radwanska, who cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 victory over fifth-seeded Russian Nadia Petrova.

On the other side of the bracket, second-seeded Russian Vera Zvonareva overcame eighth-seeded Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, 7-5, 6-1 to reach the semifinals.

Ukrainian Alona Bondarenko failed to record another upset, dropping a 6-3, 5-7, 6-1 heart-breaker to No. 6 Marion Bartoli of France. Bondarenko bounced fourth-seeded 2007 Linz runner-up Patty Schnyder in the second round.

The 2008 Linz champion will pocket $95,500.
